I'm ramping things up on Substack
Starting November 1, find my sports coverage like never before.
As you may know, I started a Substack in August to shift my sports coverage into a forum that’s well laid out, accessible to my audience from prior sports coverage, and allows me the freedom to write what I want, when I want and use email newsletters to promote my work and connect with my readers.
For background, I graduated from Camp Hill high school in June 2024, a commencement ceremony that I needed to schedule around my coverage of the US Women’s Open in Lancaster, Pa. That’s pretty much been the story of my life for a decade, maybe longer; scheduling everything around sports.
Now, I’m in my first-year at Rowan University, studying Sports Communication and Media.
I started my Substack with a few goals in mind: provide sports coverage of local and national stories I’m interested in, attract previous consumers of my various covergage in the past, and learn how to succeed on Substack.
My Substack page can now be found via lukebrownsports.com, and as the headline says, I’m ramping up my coverage on here.
Most of the content on this page will be behind a small paywall of $5 per month, or $30 per year.
The goal for me is simple: Provide quality coverage worth two dollars, 99 cents of your money every month, cover stories that I feel passionate about, but give myself enough room to be a college student working for other media outlets as well.
There are no absolute guarantees of my coverage, at least not as of now. As you can access for free on my page right now, there are longform, podcast-style interviews, notebook emptying articles, game recaps and more.
Subscriptions will be available on Friday, November 1 on lukebrownsports.com, but in the meantime, you can subscribe for free to be the first to know when things officially get rolling.
